I thought humans were smarter in absolute terms
I spent a lot of time thinking, arguing, funding, writing essays about, proselytizing, being worried about, being suicidal because of, planning to some extent, trying to do my best at strategizing but not really getting anywhere, mulling over, working out logic and reason and concepts, experimenting, "researching," reading my own writing, calling my smartest friends in the middle of the night, crying when nobody would listen or engage, being both annoyed and vindicates and relieved and delighted when they called me years later asking for advice about, things you already figured out.
